We study apparently differentiated—but ultimately connected—fields: language learning and reward on the one hand, and music, reward and memory on the other. Our research relies on one main idea: capitalize on music to shape cognition, and capitalize on cognition to shape music.
Capitalize on Music to shape Cognitive Neuroscience, capitalize on Cognitive Neuroscience to shape Music.
Music and Auditory Research Lab (MARL)We are part of the MARL under the Department of Music and Performing Arts Professions, which brings together scholars from music theory, technology & composition, computer & information science, and interactive media to explore the intersection between music, computation and science.
